Project Pulse offers unique dance classes for students age 3 years to adult. Classes include Bollywood, Jazz, Hip Hop/Break Dance, Contemporary and more specialized classes like our new Southern Spice Hip Hop class!  Known for fusing Eastern and Western Styles of dance, Project Pulse dance classes will leave you wanting more!  Look for classes at a location near you in the left-hand menu.  We will be offering Technique classes soon, please check back again!

The primary goal is to impart training to the dancers and provide them a framework of choreography in a form of a dance routine.
  You will learn dance vocabulary, proper dance posture, and confidence in performing!

Furthermore, classes will stress on fitness.  This isn't your regular dance and aerobics class, but it will surely make you SWEAT!!

Regular Prices -
  • 1 cl/week - $120 for 10 classes
  • 2 cl/week - $220 for 20 classes
  • 3 cl/week - $330 for 30 classes
  • Drop-in - $15 (must be paid before class begins)
  • Performance/Costume rental fee (due at registration) - $15/class  - This does not include shoes.  Shoes must be purchased by the student, if the piece requires.  Students must return costumes to Project Pulse after use, unless otherwise stated by the instructor.  NOTE: If at a later time, the student cannot perform, the $15 will be refunded, but the student cannot pay the costume fee later.


CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

  • All classes will be a mix of Bollywood style with Western Styles
  • Each class is 1 hour long
  • 8-16 students depending on location and age group


Hip Hop
Hip Hop classes designed to suit all levels of hip-hop dancer.  The class will appeal to everyone from the amateur hip-hop enthusiast to the more experienced trained dancer.  The goal of this class is to provide a framework of choreography in which each dancer will be able to add their own personal style and attitude. It is also focuses on an inclusive atmosphere, rather than a place that caters to any select group of dancers. Most of all, the class is designed for people to feel comfortable. The choreographers will incorporate elements of B-boying, old school and more modern choreography. Classes will consist of a warm-up, stretching and choreography.

Contemporary/Hip Hop
This class is characterized by its versatility: With this style you can dance to almost any style of music, or unite with other dance forms to create new styles of movement. Dancers will work with the natural alignment of the body, and is therefore safe and accessible for beginners. At the same time, the ease of movement promoted by contemporary dance technique allows experienced dancers to push new boundaries of body movement.  Now mix this with Hip Hop and you will leave feeling pumped up and energized!

Southern Spice Hip Hop
Are you a South Indian Music/Dance enthusiast?  This class brings to you all the energy and bounce of your regular hip hop class, but to your favorite Tamil/Telugu Cinema Music.

Hip Hop/Jazz
This class is fun and energetic. Dancers will be able to showcase their individual style and originality.  The class will appeal to everyone from the amateur hip-hop and Jazz enthusiast to the more experienced trained dancer.  The choreographers will incorporate elements of Hip Hop: B-boying, old school and more modern choreography and elements of Jazz: unique moves, fancy footwork, big leaps and quick turns.

Bollywood
This class Incorporates both traditional Indian styles as well as western influences, you'll find that Bollywood dance is fun and energetic, as well as an excellent aerobic exercise.

Bollywood Divas
Taking the female version of Bollywood to new levels, this intermediate level class is focused on more female oriented hip hop, jazz and bollywood. Through a dance based workout consisting of warm-ups, across the floor routines and new choreography, students will learn to move, groove and shake their way to a new style that is meant to revitalize your dancing abilities.  Students will be encouraged to express themselves, find their stage presence, and develop a show stopping confidence that will enhance their dance performances.  Constructive feedback, group encouragement and collaboration are incorporated into the session to provide for a fun and comfortable dance environment.  Dance experience is a must and participation is based on teacher approval.

BollyMoms
Calling all moms looking for a fun way to get moving! This fun and energetic class will be sure to bring out the diva in you. Learn how to walk, turn and dance your way back into shape. This dance-based fitness class incorporates the latest Bollywood, Jazz and Hip Hop moves in an easy to learn format. Taught by a mom, this class is specifically designed for you to promote fitness, increase energy, improve strength and coordination while dancing to the latest and greatest Bollywood hits.

BollyFitness
This is an intense 60-minute Bollywood style cardio workout class that will give you the flavor of various dance styles including hip/hop, folk, and bhangra. You will dance to popular bollywood tunes and combine fitness with fun while burning upto 800 calories in this fast paced class.

Bolly - Creative Movement  (Ages 3-5)
A fun class for kids to develop their movement skills, spark their imagination, focus their energy and stimulate their creativity. Creative  Movement uses a concept-based approach, through which students learn the fundamentals and principles of dance. Benefits of creative dance include opportunities for self-expression through movement, as well as aesthetic and social development. This combination of movement, music, improvisation, and basic dance steps is an excellent introduction for the future study of dance techniques.

Bolly Kids Combo (Ages 6-8 and 9-12)
